Since there are so many types of scratches, some cards may seem to be more tattered than you imagined, while others may feel unexpectedly beautiful just because there are scratches that you will not know unless you search carefully

My instincts say its to give them more subjective discretion but I wanted more feedback and to hear your thoughts and maybe some can share examples I brainstormed the following: 60/40 is the absolute limit if the rest of the card is perfect 60/40 is the limit if the adjacent top/bottom or left/right centering is excellent we give this guideline to allow control for graders
